Happy Birthdays and New Years

Celebrating birthdays is a good excuse to have fun and pamper yourself. Steff gave us the opportunity this weekend to do just that. On Friday evening we went to Refeel Ganbanyoku for some good old-fashioned R&R. Us girls sweated our troubles away until 2 am.

With soft, rejuvenated skin, Saturday evening we went to Hummock Café for the celebration. I love this Café! It is a quirky little place down at Matogata port. The building was originally shipping containers that the owner/chef modified into the café. The interior is a retro collection of pieces of furniture that create a funky atmosphere. There is space for artists to come and perform live as well as DJ facilities, on Saturday a chilled out Jazz vibe to the place.

The food was all so delicious especially the desserts! The selection of beers and wines well complementing the meal. Our group enjoyed the entire evening.
Lazy start to Sunday, brunch at the Indian restaurant near the Mall. Yummy! Stomachs full we headed back to Steff’s to chill out and watch DVDs. Being Chinese New Year’s Eve, Steff cooked Laksa for us before robbing us blind at Blackjack (apparently this is her families New’ Year’s Eve tradition)

It's tradition to gamble for at least 3 weeks from the Lunar new year so you girls still have lots of 'lessons' with me. Get your coins ready this time! Muacks!
